Help & Support

1. What is a NOMORO e-SIM?

expand_more

An e-SIM (Embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your phone. With a NOMORO e-SIM, you can instantly connect to the internet abroad without the hassle of swapping tiny, easily lost physical SIM cards.

2. Does my device support a NOMORO e-SIM?

expand_more

Most modern smartphones (like recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy S & Z series, and Google Pixel devices) support e-SIM technology.

Before purchasing, you must ensure two things:

  • Your device has the hardware to support an e-SIM.
  • Your device is carrier-unlocked (not restricted to a specific mobile operator).

3. Can I still use WhatsApp or iMessage with my original number?

expand_more

Absolutely! Using data from NOMORO will not change your WhatsApp, iMessage, or other messaging apps. You can continue texting and calling via these apps as usual the moment you land.

4. Can I still receive regular SMS or phone calls on my primary number?

expand_more

Yes. Your phone will utilize a Dual SIM setup. You can keep your primary number (physical SIM) active specifically to receive calls and SMS (like bank OTPs), while setting your NOMORO e-SIM strictly for Mobile Data (Internet) usage.

5. How do I install my NOMORO e-SIM? Will I get a QR Code?

expand_more

Unlike traditional e-SIMs, NOMORO uses seamless integrated installation technology. You will not receive a QR Code via email. After a successful payment in the app, simply tap the "Install/Activate e-SIM" button on your order page, and the e-SIM profile will automatically download and install on your device in seconds.

6. When is the best time to install my e-SIM?

expand_more

We highly recommend tapping the "Install e-SIM" button in the NOMORO app before your departure (while you are still at home or at the departure airport with a stable Wi-Fi connection).

7. When does the validity period of my data plan start?

expand_more

The validity period of your plan (e.g., a 7-Day plan) will only begin counting down when you land in your destination country and your NOMORO e-SIM connects to the local operator's network for the first time. Therefore, it is perfectly safe to install it days before your flight.

8. Can I delete/remove my e-SIM after installing it?

expand_more

No. A NOMORO e-SIM profile can generally only be installed one (1) time. If you delete or remove the e-SIM profile from your phone’s cellular settings, the e-SIM will be permanently voided and cannot be recovered or transferred to another phone. You should only delete it after your trip is completed and the data quota is fully consumed.

9. I have arrived at my destination, but why is there no internet connection?

expand_more

If you have landed but are not connected to the internet, please ensure you have completed these 3 mandatory steps in your phone's Settings:

  1. Ensure the NOMORO e-SIM profile is Turned On.
  2. Ensure you have set the NOMORO e-SIM as the primary choice for Mobile Data / Cellular Data.
  3. Ensure the Data Roaming feature on your NOMORO e-SIM profile is toggled ON.

10. Can I tether (Hotspot) my NOMORO data plan to other devices?

expand_more

Yes! You can share your internet connection with your laptop, tablet, or travel companions using your phone's Personal Hotspot feature, provided you have sufficient data quota remaining.

11. What should I do if I run out of data in the middle of my trip?

expand_more

No need to panic. You can simply open the NOMORO app and Top-Up (add) extra data for that country. The new plan will be added immediately without the need to install a new e-SIM.

12. How do I contact Customer Support if I need technical assistance?

expand_more

If you experience an issue that cannot be resolved with the troubleshooting steps above, our support team is ready to help you. You can reach us via:

13. What is your Refund Policy? Can I cancel my data plan?

expand_more

All of our data packages are prepaid. We can only process refunds for uninstalled and unactivated e-SIMs within 30 days of purchase. Once an e-SIM has been installed on your device, or if the data quota has been used or expired, it is strictly non-refundable.

14. How do NOMORO Points work?

expand_more

You earn NOMORO Points through various promotions or cashback programs. These points function as in-app currency (1 Point = 1 IDR) and can be used to purchase or discount any data package directly within the app.

15. Can I use NOMORO if my device doesn't support eSIM?

expand_more

Unfortunately, NOMORO is currently eSIM-only and requires a device with built-in eSIM hardware. If your device does not support eSIM, you will not be able to use NOMORO at this time. Please contact our support team β€” we may be able to recommend alternatives.

16. Does my phone need to be carrier-unlocked to use NOMORO?

expand_more

Yes. In addition to being eSIM-compatible, your device must be carrier-unlocked. If your phone is tied to a specific mobile network operator (usually purchased through a specific carrier contract), you will not be able to install or activate a NOMORO eSIM. Please contact your local carrier to unlock your device before purchasing.

17. How do I check if my device is carrier-unlocked?

expand_more
  • iPhone: Go to Settings β†’ General β†’ About. If there is no "SIM Lock" listed under Carrier Lock, your device is unlocked and ready.
  • Android: Go to Settings β†’ Connections β†’ SIM Manager. If an "Add eSIM" option is visible, your device is compatible and unlocked.

18. Can I transfer my NOMORO e-SIM to another device if I buy a new phone?

expand_more

No. For security and technical reasons, a NOMORO e-SIM is strictly "single-install". It can only be installed once and cannot be transferred from one device to another. If you delete it from your phone or change your device, you will lose the eSIM and need to purchase a new one. For this reason, avoid installing the eSIM on a device you do not intend to use for your trip.

19. Will I get 5G or 4G LTE speeds?

expand_more

NOMORO partners with top-tier local operators globally to provide the best possible coverage. You will enjoy 5G or 4G LTE speeds in most destinations. However, actual network speeds may vary depending on the local infrastructure, your exact geographical location, and local network congestion.

20. Does NOMORO offer phone numbers or SMS?

expand_more

No. NOMORO provides data-only plans. You will not be able to make regular voice calls or send standard SMS messages through the NOMORO eSIM line. Use internet-based apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Telegram for calls and messaging.

21. How do I check how much data I have remaining?

expand_more

Open the NOMORO app and go to your active order or plan page. Your remaining data balance is displayed there and can be checked at any time during your trip.

22. Can I use NOMORO in multiple countries on one plan?

expand_more

It depends on the plan purchased. NOMORO offers both single-country and regional multi-country plans. Check your plan details in the app to confirm which countries are included. If your destination is not covered, you can purchase an additional plan for that country.

23. Does NOMORO work on cruise ships?

expand_more

No. NOMORO does not support cruise ship connectivity. Cruise ships use satellite-based internet systems that operate independently from land-based mobile networks, which NOMORO relies on.

24. What if the eSIM installation fails or shows an error?

expand_more

Try the following steps in order:

  1. Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Switch to a different network if possible.
  2. End any active phone calls and retry.
  3. Disable any active VPN and retry installation.
  4. Restart your device, then try again.
  5. Make sure your device OS (iOS or Android) is fully up to date.

⚠️ Do not attempt to install the same eSIM multiple times. Always check your installation status in the app before retrying. A NOMORO eSIM can only be installed once.

25. My connection was working but suddenly stopped. What happened ?

expand_more

Check the following:

  • Data quota: You may have used up your plan. Open the NOMORO app to check your remaining data.
  • Network coverage: You may be in an area with poor signal. Try moving to a different location.
  • Airplane Mode reset: Toggle Airplane Mode ON, wait 15 seconds, then OFF.
  • Device restart: Power off and restart your phone to force a network re-registration.

26. How do I fix no internet on iPhone (iOS)?

expand_more

Follow these steps in order:

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Mobile Service β†’ tap your NOMORO eSIM β†’ ensure "Turn On This Line" is enabled.
  2. Under Mobile Service, tap Mobile Data and select the NOMORO eSIM line.
  3. Toggle Data Roaming to ON on the NOMORO eSIM.
  4. Turn off Wi-Fi temporarily and test the connection.
  5. Toggle Airplane Mode ON, wait 15 seconds, then OFF.
  6. If still no connection, go to Settings β†’ Mobile Service β†’ NOMORO eSIM β†’ Voice & Data. Try switching from 5G to LTE or 4G.
  7. Last resort: Settings β†’ General β†’ Transfer or Reset iPhone β†’ Reset β†’ Reset Network Settings.

27. How do I fix no internet on Android (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.)?

expand_more

Follow these steps in order:

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Connections β†’ SIM Manager. Ensure NOMORO eSIM is enabled and set as the Mobile Data SIM.
  2. Enable Data Roaming on the NOMORO eSIM line.
  3. Restart your device fully.
  4. Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 15 seconds, then OFF.
  5. Try manually selecting a network: Settings β†’ Mobile Networks β†’ Network Operators β†’ turn off "Select Automatically" and pick an available local carrier.
  6. Last resort: search "reset" in Settings β†’ Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth β†’ Reset.

πŸ’‘ If the APN is missing, open the NOMORO app and keep it open for up to 5 minutes β€” it will configure the APN settings automatically.

28. My internet is connected but the speed is very slow. How do I fix it?

expand_more
  • Toggle Airplane Mode ON and OFF to reconnect to the strongest available signal.
  • Restart your device.
  • iPhone: Settings β†’ Mobile Service β†’ NOMORO eSIM β†’ Voice & Data. Try switching between 5G, LTE, and 4G to find the best signal.
  • Android: Manually select a different local network operator via Settings β†’ Mobile Networks β†’ Network Operators. Different carriers in the same country can have very different coverage quality.
  • Close unused apps running in the background that may be consuming data.

29. No signal bars or "No Service" showing even with eSIM installed.

expand_more
  1. Confirm you are in a country/region covered by your NOMORO plan.
  2. Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF.
  3. Manually select a local carrier in network settings instead of relying on automatic selection.
  4. Restart your device completely.
  5. Check that the NOMORO eSIM line is still enabled in your SIM/eSIM settings.

πŸ’‘ If you cannot find a local carrier in the manual selection list, contact NOMORO support β€” we can confirm which partner network to connect to for your destination.

30. How do I avoid unexpected charges from my home SIM while using NOMORO?

expand_more
  • et NOMORO eSIM as the default Mobile Data line.
  • Disable Data Roaming on your primary SIM β€” keep it active only for receiving calls and SMS.
  • On iPhone, also disable "Allow Cellular Data Switching" so your device never automatically falls back to your home carrier for data.

⚠️ If Data Switching is left ON, your iPhone may use your primary SIM for data if the NOMORO signal drops temporarily β€” which could result in roaming charges from your home carrier.

31. How many eSIMs can I install on my phone?

expand_more

The number of eSIM profiles you can store depends on your device:

  • iPhone: You can save up to 8 or more eSIM profiles, and you can have two phone numbers active at the same time (depending on the iPhone model).

Android: Most compatible Android devices allow you to save multiple eSIM profiles (usually 5 to 7), but generally, you can only use one eSIM for data at a time.

32. Can I delete my old or expired eSIMs?

expand_more

Yes. Once your trip is over and your data plan has expired or been fully consumed, you can safely delete the eSIM profile from your phone's Cellular/Mobile Data settings to free up space.
⚠️ Important: Do not delete an eSIM while your plan is still active, as this will permanently void the eSIM and it cannot be reinstalled.

33. I cannot pay or complete my purchase. What should I do

expand_more

If your transaction is failing, please try the following steps:

  1. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  2. Check if your selected payment method (Credit Card, E-Wallet, or Virtual Account) has sufficient balance or hasn't reached its daily limit.
  3. Try switching to a different payment method available in the app.
  4. If the issue persists, please reach out to our Customer Support via the app for immediate assistance.

34. When does the validity period of my data plan start?

expand_more

The validity period of your plan (e.g., a 7-Day plan) will only begin counting down when you land in your destination country and your NOMORO eSIM connects to the local operator's network for the first time. Therefore, it is perfectly safe (and highly recommended) to install the eSIM days before your flight.

35. During the eSIM setup on my iPhone, should I choose "Data Only" or "Voice & Data"?

expand_more

Please select "Data Only".

NOMORO eSIMs are specifically designed to provide seamless mobile internet (data) while you travel. They do not come with a local phone number for traditional voice calls or SMS text messages.

If you select "Voice & Data", your iPhone will attempt to make cellular calls using the eSIM network, which will automatically result in a "Call Failed" error.

Tip: To stay in touch with family or colleagues, you can easily make voice or video calls using internet-based apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom, or LINE with your NOMORO data connection.

36. How to resolve an eSIM installation failure?

expand_more

If the eSIM installation process encounters an error, please verify the following two main factors:

  • Internet Connection: Ensure the device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network during the eSIM profile download process.
  • Device Status (Carrier Lock): Verify that the device is Unlocked (not tied to a specific carrier contract). For iPhone users, please ensure the operating system is updated to at least iOS 17.4 to enable the direct installation feature.

Still experiencing issues? Please click the Need Help menu or the customer service icon available on the screen to connect directly with our Customer Support team for further assistance.

37. How to check if my NOMORO eSIM is activated?

expand_more

Generally, the NOMORO eSIM will automatically activate once it is successfully installed and the device is connected to a cellular network in the destination country. To verify this manually, please follow the steps below based on the device's operating system:

For iOS (iPhone) Users:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Cellular or Mobile Data.
  3. Under the SIMs section, ensure the NOMORO eSIM is turned On.

For Android Users:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Connections or Network & Internet.
  3. Open the SIM Manager and ensure the toggle next to the NOMORO eSIM is turned On.

Additional Indicator: Check the signal bars at the top of the device screen. If a local carrier name or signal indicator appears, the eSIM has successfully connected and is ready for use.

Still experiencing issues or no signal is showing? Please click the Need Help menu or the customer service icon available on the screen to connect directly with our Customer Support team for further assistance.

38. How do I check if my eSIM has been successfully installed?

expand_more

After tapping the "Install/Activate e-SIM" button on your order page in the NOMORO app, your eSIM profile will automatically download and install on your device within seconds.

To confirm your eSIM has been successfully installed, check your device settings:

  • iPhone: Go to Settings β†’ Mobile Service. If the NOMORO profile appears in the list, your eSIM has been installed successfully.
  • Android: Go to Settings β†’ Connections β†’ SIM Manager. If the NOMORO profile is visible, your eSIM has been installed successfully.

You can also monitor your installation status directly from the order page within the NOMORO app.
